As rumored, Justified will officially end after its sixth season next year, FX confirmed today. According to EW, FX Networks CEO John Landgraf made the official announcement at the Television Critics Association tour in Pasadena today, and specified that it was based off of the decision made by series creator Graham Yost and star Timothy Olyphant.

"We talked about it a year ago and they felt that the arc of the show and what they had to say would be served by six seasons instead of seven and I regretfully accepted their decision," Landgraf explained. As season five just started this month, there are technically still two seasons left of the show—but still, this is sad news. All the showsare ending!

This doesn't come as much of a surprise to those who have been following press about the show, though: series star Walter Groggins said in a recent EW interview first revealed earlier this month that Yost was not thinking of continuing the show past season six, and then FX president Nick Grad all but confirmed it at the show's season five premiere party a day later.

Justified airs on FX on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST.
