Freelance artist Lu Cheng has posted some new concept art for Shinji Mikami's upcoming survival horror game The Evil Within that bears a strong environmental resemblance to The Last of Us, bringing up questions of what exactly the full game will look like.
Compared to Cheng's previous concept art, which showed the game's detective protagonist in a rundown shantytown that wouldn't look out of place in the 19th century, the new images for the game feature some prominent overgrown post-apocalypse looking locations of city ruins that look a lot like Naughty Dog's 2013 stealth adventure. It's hard to tell exactly what form the atmosphere will take in Evil Within, although its initial preview gameplay gives it more than a hint of Loftcraftian aesthetic.
