After more than a year of anticipation, Beats' much-balleyhooed music streaming service will finally launch later this month. The Trent Reznor-affiliated service will be available on the web and in the form of iOS and Android apps for $9.99 per month.

The subscription allows customers to use Beats Music on three different devices. However, AT&T customers can snag an exclusive $14.99 family plan that will let them stream songs to up to 10 different devices. Beats Music will also allow subscribers to download unlimited songs for local audio playback.

It is set to use a combination of curation and algorithms to recommend songs, with curated playlists selected by a team of so-called music experts due to be its primary draw in what is an already saturated market. We'll see.
