Jasco Games launched their Kickstarter campaign yesterday in hopes of funding a Mega Man board game. Well apparently the support from Mega Man fans everywhere is pouring in more than anyone could of imagined.

Originally asking for $70,000 of crowd funding to produce the officially licensed board game, the project raked more than $150,000 in just one day. With 36 days to gain more funding, it looks like the Mega Man board game will be able to reach all additional goals, which can be found on the Kickstarter page, here.

Jasco Games offered up an explanation for why they chose Kickstarter to fund a project that clearly has such a large following. "Kickstarter funding will allow us to use better materials, offer more extras like miniatures, cards, extra boards, and polish the finalized product, giving fans an even better experience and something that will be worthy of any Mega Man enthusiast's collection."

Those who donate $60 or higher to the campaign will receive the basic set as a gift once launched. The basic set features 4 robot master boards and the central Dr. Wily board, 12 robot master boss cards, 4 preconstructed player decks of 40 cards, 4 character cards, 32 tokens, and 9 game pieces. Additional game pieces, characters and cards will be added as long as donations keep coming in.

Currently more than 1,500 people have donated to the project and is rapidly approaching the $185,000 mark.

If interested in grabbing your own Mega Manboard game head to their page and donate but be aware that due to licensing agreements with Capcom, the game can only be shipped to addresses in North America.
