New Google Chrome Beta Tells You Which Tabs Are Playing Music or Using Your Webcam

Google Chrome Beta 32 solves a big problem for those tab addicts out there.

The company's newest beta for Windows, Mac, and Linux will tell users which tabs are playing music or video, so users can quickly silence them, especially if they're in a bad situation, like, say, goofing off at work or while in class. If a site is playing music or video, an indicator will pop up on the left side of the tab for a site, so users can easily identify it. If you're a busy person, it's probably not a rare occasion to have more than 10 to 20 tabs open in your browser at once. With video ads that auto-play on websites even after you've silenced them, this Chrome update truly is a blessing. In addition to this feature, Chrome 32 will show which tabs are using your webcam, and the browser will automatically block malware instead of simply showing a warning.
