Julian Assange has made no secret of his opposition to The Fifth Estate, the Benedict Cumberbatch-starring film that proposes to tell the story of the founding of WikiLeaks. Taking his anger a step further, Assange now hopes to challenge The Fifth Estate’s narrative with a film of his own, a documentary called Mediastan that gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the WikiLeaks state secrets ordeal of 2011. "What started out as a geopolitical road movie transformed into a tale of comparative censorship as our adventure continued into the unexpected heart of Mediastan,” said Assange in a statement.

The film is now streaming for free on YouTube for those in the UK, where The Fifth Estate hit theaters this weekend, and is rentable for a couple of bucks to audiences elsewhere.
