Tina Fey Is Kind Of Coming Back to TV, Soon

We'll take whatever we can get.

This isn't the return to television we were all hoping Tina Fey would partake in soon, but it's somethingAccording to Deadline, Fey has signed on to executive produce a new untitled comedy for NBC from 30 Rock writer-producer Colleen McGuinness. AKA, say hello to your new favorite show, everyone.

As it's still pretty early, not much is known about the series, but Deadline describes it as "in the vein of Cheers...[it's] a character-driven workplace comedy where a young woman in search of reconnecting with her father finds a new home and family on Fire Island." McGuinness is writing and executive producing, while Fey is just executive producing alongside her former 30 Rock co-showrunner Robert Carlock. It'll be the first project released through Fey's Little Stranger production company.

Sadly, Fey will not star, even though the world is still going through Liz Lemon withdrawals and has to look at Liz Lemon blogs on a regular basis just to stay sane. Is that just me?

No, it can't be.
