A man is in custody today after ramming a woman's vehicle off a Bronx highway, then stabbing her to death. Police told the New York Daily News that the man, who was driving a taxi, struck the woman's SUV as both travelled on the New England Thruway around 4 a.m. this morning. The SUV landed on its side after flying over a barrier.
In an inexplicable and horrific turn of events, the man jumped out of his vehicle and began stabbing the woman. She died of her injuries and her attacker remained at the scene until authorities arrived. The Daily News says that charges are pending, and while sources say the victim and assailant knew each other, it's still unclear exactly how they know each other.
