Jennifer Lopez has been pretty silent about whether or not she'll return to judge American Idol next season, but boyfriend Casper Smart isn't: According to TMZ, he may have ruined any plans for a surprise reveal by telling reporters that Lopez would definitely be returning to Idol next season. Apparently, Smart thought that the news had already been released, and didn't realize he was breaking news when he made the reveal. There's probably some 'smart move' joke to be made here, but we'll refrain, because that's just too easy.
Not long Smart's comments, "sources" confirmed to Us Weeklythat Lopez would in fact be returning to the judges table for season 13 of Idol, alongside returning judge Keith Urban. A third judge is reportedly still yet to be determined, after Randy Jackson shockingly decided not to return to the series.
