As if there were any doubts, Jason Sudeikis confirmed Saturday Night Live needed him more than he needs it this weekend with, We're the Millers, his first lead starring role. The comedy, co-starring Jennifer Aniston and Emma Roberts, opened Wednesday, and combined with weekend earnings of $26.6 million, has already made its $37 million budget back.

However, Millers only came in number two for the actual weekend haul. Matt Damon and Neil Blomkamp's Elysium edged its way to number one with $30.5 million, however the opening is less impressive with some context. Blomkamp's previous film, District 9, opened with a slightly higher take, when the director had a shorter resume and with a lead far removed from Damon's A-list status. With a budget of $115 million, Sony was surely expecting higher returns. As for Damon, this is his biggest weekend opening since Bourne Ultimatum.
