It wasn't a dream. There was actually a Kickstarter campaign for a Veronica Mars movie, it did indeed shatter pledge records, and a big screen continuation of one of the best cult shows ever is coming. And now there's visual proof.

Originally unveiled at the film's Comic-Con panel yesterday, the trailer at for Veronica Mars has officially hit the net, and it's everything fans of the show hoped it would be. So far Kristen Bell, creator Rob Thomas and the rest of the team have been great at giving back to the show's diehard fans who made this movie a reality, and that good nature is continued here. Instead of delivering just a movie clip - which is awesome in its own right - there's also about three minutes of behind the scenes footage featuring Thomas, Bell, and several other cast members reacting to the campaign and on-set.

As for the trailer? It shows an adult Veronica in New York, on the fast track to becoming a "big shot lawyer," called back to Neptune by ex-boyfriend Logan, desperate for her help and just in time for their high school reunion. From the looks of it, Thomas gathered every notable recurring player from Neptune High imaginable. In addition to the main cast, we can expect cameos from Krysten Ritter's Gia all the way down to Veronica's nemesis Madison Sinclair.

In a word, it looks awesome. See for yourself in the video above.
