After more than fourteen hours of labor, the Dutchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton has finally given birth to a baby boy.

According to TMZ, the royal baby was born around 4:24 PM GMT, and weighs in at about 8 pounds, 6 ounces. No name has been officially announced yet, but rumors were previously flying around that Kate and husband Prince William were favoring the name 'George' if the baby were to be a boy.

Queen Elizabeth was reportedly the first to hear about the news from Prince William.

After Prince Charles and William, the royal baby is now third in line for the throne—bumping his uncle, Prince Harry, to fourth in line.

Per tradition, the birth was set to be announced on an ornate easel on Buckingham Palace's forecourt, but the news was ultimately released to the press first. The official document stating that Kate has given birth to a healthy baby boy is now display, though it doesn't say much other than that mother and child are doing well.
