Aliens: Colonial Marines left a lot to be desired for such a promising property.

Then the classic story got a lot more muddled with the sudden and out-of-sequence appearance of Corporal Hicks. The new, and final piece of downloadable content for Aliens is Stasis Interrupted, which tries to resolves Hick’s story.

The resolution to Hick’s story is available for $10 or free to any overly trusting souls who purchased the green season pass. The release notes offer a summery of the excitement to be had in the new DLC:

“In this new campaign you play as 3 different characters through an interlocking story. Waking up unexpectedly from hypersleep, Lisbeth and others must figure out why the spaceship they are on, the Legato, has been diverted to intercept the Sulaco leaving LV-426’s orbit.”

As far as gameplay, they offer: “Fight your way though the alien infested spaceship, find out what Michael Weyland is after and discover what truly happened to Hicks.”

Well if you bought the season pass then enjoy, as for everyone else it’s hard to find a bright side of Aliens: Colonial Marines. This game left us feeling so guilty having actually played it to the end to write our review; we could have been getting ahead on our taxes for next year, or cleaning the bathroom.
