Liam Neeson and his particular set of skills are being offered a sizeable pay raise to participate in Taken 3, Deadline is reporting. According to the site, Neeson was "reluctant" to take part in Taken 2 last year, but receiving a salary of $15 million swayed his decision—this time, he's being offered $20 million, so the same thing may happen.

Should Neeson officially sign on, the film's studio, Luc Besson's Europacorp, is aiming for a February production start date. Franchise stars Maggie Grace and Famke Janssen will also be asked to return, and it's possible Taken 2 director Olivier Megaton will return be asked as well. The Taken franchise doesn't really need another sequel, of course, but let's be real: If Neeson agrees to sign on, they'll all probably come back, because despite receiving a 21% Rotten Tomatoes rating, Taken 2 managed to gross just about $375 million—which is $100 million more than its predecessor, Taken.

Gotta say, though, we can't imagine what member of Bryan Mills' (Neeson) family is going to be 'taken' in a foreign country this time. Both his daughter and his ex-wife were the subjects of the first two films, so who's left now? Extended family? Former college roommates? Discuss.
