This morning, the entertainment world remains stunned by the death of Sopranos star James Gandolfini, who died of a heart attack in Italy at the age of 51 yesterday. Last night, the owner of Holsten's—the Bloomfield, N.J. ice cream shop where the show's highly-controversial final scene was filmed—paid tribute to the late actor by placing a "Reserved" card on the table where the Soprano family was last seen.
“During his down time, he’d be outside smoking a big cigar, talking to people. He seemed like real regular guy,”said owner Chris Carley. According to Carley's daughter, Sara, people said that more people came to look at the sign than to get ice cream.
Carley's decision was a touching ode to a fine actor responsible for bringing one of the most important television characters of all-time to life.
