You may have seen the hashtag floating around the Internet this morning: #SpotifyKiller. The viral tag popped up in response to Google's big announcement during the keynote speech at its annual I/O conference.
As expected, the tech giant unveiled its new subscription based music service, All Access, calling it "a uniquely Google approach to a subscription music service." The new music platform, similar to Spotify, is meant to give users access to an exhaustive music library, offering song recommendations and curated playlists from Google music editors.
All Access is available as of today for $9.99/month with a 30-day free trial. But if you sign up by June 30, users will be offered a discounted rate of $7.99/month.
Google’s Chris Yerga referred to All Access as “radio without rules."
