Part sequel, part prequel, Resident Evil: Revelations both resumes and reinvents the classic style of the long-running horror survivor game. It takes place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, and reveals the truth behind the terrible T-Abyss virus. Featuring series favorites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, as well as their respective BSAA partners, Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat, the game’s action begins on board an allegedly abandoned cruise ship, where horror lurks around every corner. From there, players head for the mainland, to the devastated city where, with limited ammo and resources, they’ll attempt to survive the unknown horrors that await them.

While the game features technological advancements, such as high quality HD visuals, enhanced lighting effects, and an immersive sound experience on all console versions, its single player mode is a throwback to the classic style that first made the franchise so famous. It also features the new “Infernal” play mode, with a degree of difficulty that will challenge even the most seasoned gamers, and a new and improved “Raid” mode, offering new weapons, skill sets, and playable characters. Other new additions include access to a wide variety of DLC from ResidentEvil.net, exclusive features for the Nintendo Wii U and a brand new enemy: a horrific, mutated creature known as the Wall Blister.

Resident Evil: Revelations is in stores and available now.
