Good news for both Fast & Furious 6 and The Hangover III - according to Deadline, both films contributed to making this Memorial Day weekend the biggest ever for the box office, with $323 million total earned so far. To compare: The previous record was set in 2011, with $276 million total earned.

As for the box office breakdown: Fast & Furious 6 took the top spot with an impressive four-day total of $120 million. The Hangover III came in at number two with a four-day total of $52 million - not bad at all considering it wasn't that great of a film - and last week's new release, Star Trek Into Darkness dropped to number three with $48 million earned this weekend.

Rounding out the top five were Epic and Iron Man 3 with $44 million and $24.6 million earned respectively.
