Since hitting the $2 million goal for his new film, Wish I Was Here, on Kickstarter, Zach Braff has been making a ton of progress putting together the project - primarily with forming the cast. We already know that Mandy Patinkin, Anna Kendrick, Josh Gad, Jim Parsons, and Donald Faison have signed for various roles, but now Vulture is reporting that Kate Hudson has joined the cast as well.

In pure Braff fashion, the film is said to be about a man attempting to find some sort of identity and purpose in his life - kinda like Garden State, or Scrubs in a weird way. In this case, though, the man is Aidan Bloom (Braff), and he's an actor, father, and husband. Hudson will portray Aidan's wife, Patinkin will portray his father, and Gad will portray his brother. Also, Kendrick will be in to cosplay, because her character is just like, so quirky.

The Kickstarter for the film, which Braff started because he didn't want to resort to having his project controlled by any film studios, managed to hit its goal in just four days. As of now, it's raised a total of $2,720,830, and you can still donate to the project here until May 24th.
