"Battlefield" Developer Opens L.A. Studio to Begin Work on "Star Wars" Games

DICE begins fishing in the west coast talent pool.

None

After EA and Disney announced they would be signing an exclusive multi-year contract to to develop and publish games in the Star Wars franchise, Battlefield developer, DICE, has announced that they are opening up a new office in L.A.

Opening up a brand new office in Activision's backyard isn't some fluke of geography, DICE general manager Karl-Magnus Troedsson said in an interview with the WSJ.

“It’s no secret” that their “main competitor is there.” Troedsson said. DICE has been releasing Battlefield titles at almost the same clip as Activision's Call of Duty franchise.

“There is an extreme talent pool over [there] that we want a part of,” Troedsson said.

Fine. Get on it and hurry up with the Battlefront 3. What do you think?
