MIT has warned its student body to remain indoors following the incident on its Cambridge, MA campus. The university website says the gunshots were reported near Building 32, which is located in the Stata Center. Below is the emergency text that was delivered to students:

An investigation is currently taking place, and campus police are asking students to avoid the area. Police are considering this an "active shooter" situation and are trying to locate the suspect
