Carey Mulligan plays the selfish Daisy Buchanan in Baz Luhrmann's much-awaited The Great Gatsby, but her role in 2011's Shame really got people's attention.

As the sister of Michael Fassbender's sex addict executive, Mulligan demonstrated her knack for emotionally naked characters.

"With respect to nudity, it was vital to the character in Shame, who wasn't supposed to be a very attractive character and needed to be emotionally naked and lost in different ways. This is who she is—a character who can stand fully naked in front of her brother and not feel anything," she said.

"Doing the nudity for Shame was actually very liberating for me and it helped me deal with my own issues with my body," she said. "In my own life I'm very prudish about my body, or at least I have been in the past."

Mulligan also thinks she looks bad in short skirts, something we can all agree is not true! The 27-year-old actress also said that Leonardo DiCaprio is one of the "greatest actors in the business." At least she's right about one thing! Their film The Great Gatsby hits theaters May 10.
