Good news: Norman Bates and his creepy mother will be back again, for at least another season. According to Deadline, A&E has opted to renew their new Psycho prequel drama series, Bates Motel, for a second season, following record-breaking high ratings. New episodes will begin filming later this year, for a premiere slated sometime in early 2014.
The series is set years before Alfred Hitchcock's original 1960 film Psycho. It stars Freddie Highmore as Norman, and Vera Farmiga as his doomed mother.
