Unsurprisingly, Fede Alvarez's Evil Dead reboot absolutely dominated the box office last weekend. According to Deadline, the film pulled in an impressive $26 million domestically, besting second-week big budget pics like G.I. Joe: Retaliation and The Croods - both of which earned $21.1 million to tie for the second spot.
As for the other (sort of) new film released last weekend: Jurassic Park 3D came in at number four with $18.2 million earned. Olympus Has Fallen, which is in its third week in the box office, rounded off the top five with $10 million earned.
