Good news: We won't have to wait much longer to see what becomes of Bill's transformation into a really bloody, evil vampire god on True Blood. According to Deadline, the sixth season of the highly-rated HBO series is set to return to television on June 16th for a 10-episode season. Due to star Anna Paquin's pregnancy, it's two episodes less than usual - generally the show has 12 per season - but hopefully that'll just make way for a tighter season-long storyline.
The most significant thing about season six, though, is the fact that it's the first without creator Alan Ball. He left his position as showrunner at the close of season five to work on his new Cinemax series Banshee, and named Mark Hudis as his replacement for season six. Earlier this month, the series hit a bit of a snag when Hudis himself was replaced byBrian Buckner - who has been on the show's staff since season one - but luckily it didn't manage to affect the production.
