Every now and then, spring break gets a little too out of control. Last week, a Georgia woman who was in Daytona Beach, FL to act crazy went ahead and acted a bit too crazy for the liking of local law enforcement. After learning that her boyfriend had been cheating on her, she got into a two-hour standoff with police. 18 shots were fired.

21-year-old Heather Beaver began berating her boyfriend at a local bar when she found out he was cheating on her. Beaver returned to the Sun and Surf motel, found her boyfriend's gun and began threatening to kill herself. When police responded to the call, she reportedly let off "at least" 18 shots inside of the motel room. According to police, some of the rounds were in the direction of officers.

Not even the arrival of a SWAT team could get Beaver to drop the weapon, though she claimed she couldn't hear officers because her ears were bleeding. After two hours, police finally ended the situation by deploying tear gas.

Beaver was arrested, and after her mental health was checked, she was charged with attempted first-degree murder, aggravated assault with intent to commit a felony and carrying a concealed firearm. She should sit spring break out next year.
