The cast of the upcoming Rise of the Planet of the Apes sequel, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, is shaping up to be a star-studded one: According to Deadline, legendary actor Gary Oldman has signed on to star in the film as the leader of the human resistance, Dreyfus. This news comes on the heels of reports that Zero Dark Thirty star Jason Clarke has signed on to portray a unnamed major character in the movie.

James Franco will likely not be reprising his role in the sequel, because he's too busy hanging out with Marina Abramovic, making Gucci documentaries, and doing everything else you could possibly ever think of. Sorry.
