And the Title For "American Horror Story" Season 3 Is...

It's about witches.

Kathy Bates, Ryan Murphy, and Jessica Lange at PaleyFest 2013. Paley Center for Media

At the final PaleyFest panel Friday night, series creator Ryan Murphy revealed that the season 3 title for American Horror Story will be Coven. This season, of course, was Asylum.

Murphy also confirmed that they'll film in New Orleans, but the season will take place in several different cities, and will film on location for the first time. "The fun thing is researching what are the really scared haunted places in America, and we have a couple doozy locales," Murphy said. Could that include Salem, Massachusetts?

Kathy Bates is joining the cast this year, as previously reported. Murphy said she's playing "a bad, bad woman, five times worse than her [Misery] character—which is why she liked it." Bates' character is Jessica Lange's former best friend, who turned against the "glamour cat."

"I don't even know what a glamour cat is, but I'm excited," Lange said.

"I wanted to see a lot of scenes of Jessica Lange and Kathy Bates going at it," Murphy teased. "So that's what you're going to see."

Season three is scheduled to air this fall.
