Jack Black and Tenacious D to Perform and Promote New Web Series "Ghost Ghirls" at SXSW Next Month

This year's SXSW just got a little more awesome: Jack Black's band with Kyle Gass, Tenacious D, is confirmed to both perform a live concert, and promote the new web series Ghost Ghirls during this year's festival in Austin next month. 

The band has partnered with Shine America for the event, which produced and is distributing the web comedy series to Yahoo! Screen this spring. Ghost Ghirls follows two inept female ghostbusters who try to solve mysteries of the supernatural variety, often times in a hilarious fashion. It stars Amanda Lund and Maria Blasucci as the two paranormal investigators, and also features great cameos from comedian Molly Shannon, Bored to Death star Jason SchwartzmanNew Girl star Jake Johnson, and Black himself. It was created by Drunk History's Jeremy Konner, along with stars Lund and Blasucci.
