Wendy's has delivered 2013's first heartbreak after announcing that all of the items on its 99-cent value meal will no longer be 99 cents. The new menu will now be known as the "Right Price Right Size" value menu, and will feature additional items ranging from 99 cents to $1.99.

The move to the new menu reflects increased costs for meat, cheese and other ingredients, and was created to give value-seekers additional options while still giving Wendy's more "flexibility" when it comes to pricing. The Junior Cheeseburger Deluxe will now be $1.19 instead of 99 cents, and customers will now get four chicken nuggets for 99 cents instead of 5.

The plain Junior Cheeseburger, which had been removed from the menu, has returned at a cost of 99 cents.
