Steven Soderbergh is done with cinema. In a new interview with Vulture, the Magic Mike and Contagion director commented that feelings of frustration towards a "tyranny of narrative" is the reasoning for his decision to stop directing big screen films for the time being, and he's ready to focus on something new for now. In his own words:

None

Does that mean no Magic Mike 2? Maybe. Soderbergh continued that he doesn't know what's in the future - "I still plan to direct - theater stuff, and I’d do a TV series if something great were to come along," - but it may very well turn out that he never makes another film again.

None
