Nebraska Wendy's Cuts Hours to Dodge Obamacare

Extreme measures.

None

An Omaha, NE Wendy's has decided to slash hours in a desperate attempt to dodge Obamacare. The franchise has elected to cut hours for non-management positions to 28 hours per week or less just to avoid offering employees health care under new regulations. This decision will effect the lives of some 300 people.

Eater mentions that both Red Lobster and Olive Garden planned to hire more part-time employees for the same reason, but reneged after "employee and customer satisfaction declined." Someone will go lower, the only questions are who and how soon?
