Vaas from Far Cry 3 wasn't always the erratic, enigmatic, bat-shit-crazy bad guy that he is today. Originally he was a much more stoic character, according to IGN, who spoke with the game's executive producer, Dan Hay.
The concept art on the left shows that very early version of Vaas. When actor Michael Mando auditioned for the role he played it more like the Vaas we know today, and ultimately Ubisoft decided to craft the character around his performance instead. They came up with a fire-obsessed villain named Pyro, then eventually settled on the Vaas we know and hate today.
Are you happy with the character they settled on?
