Good news, The Killing fans: Looks like rumors of the series' return are true after all. Variety is reporting the show, which was canceled this past summer, has been resurrected by its network, AMC. Unkilled, if you will. Buzz about the series being potentially picked up by Netflix or DirecTV, who both have a history of reviving dearly departed shows, had been circulating since August, but it looks like those talks fell through - or perhaps AMC had a change of heart after seeing that there was interest from other parties in picking up the series.

There hasn't been an official announcement from either the studio or the network, but, considering that showrunner Veena Sud and executive producers Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin are back in the writers room working on the third season, the show's return is pretty much a done deal.

Are you happy to see The Killing back on AMC? Sound off in the comments.
