The first installment of his Hobbit trilogy hasn’t even hit theaters in the States yet, but that isn’t stopping director Peter Jackson from thinking about his post-Middle Earth life. During a press tour for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey with the Belgian media (via Bleeding Cool), Jackson confirmed that his sequel to Steven Spielberg’s The Adventures of Tintin will likely begin motion-capture filming next year.
The plan, as of now, is for the movie to then get a 2015 release, which would actually mean production on the film would overlap with his work on the other two Hobbit installments. If this schedule holds, Jackson will have released a movie every year from 2012-2015, and that would be a record for the director. He’ll be working at a Woody Allen pace, but instead of pumping out independent romantic comedies, he’ll be directing huge mega blockbusters annually.
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey hits theaters at midnight.
