Google Releases Gmail 4.2.1 App for Android

The final version is even better than we hoped.

After a month of leaks and speculation, Google finally released the official version of its new Android Gmail app.

An impressive Gmail APK leaked back in October and featured cool new features such as the ability to pinch-to-zoom on individual messages and swipe left to right in order to delete or archive messages. Both features have made it into version 4.2.1

But there's more.

Also included in this new version is the ability to "auto-fit" a message to your phone's screen, as well as a new thumbnail view of attached images—you can tap a thumbnail for a swipeable gallery. The app also lets users attach videos taken on the phone.

The latest Gmail app for Android is available for download now from the Google Play Store. However  it's only compatible with phones running Android 4.0 or higher.
