Apple and Google Joining Forces to Make $500 Million Bid on Kodak Patents

Can we all just get along?

None

Apple and Google may not always see eye-to-eye, but one thing they can agree on is the importance of securing some of Kodak’s 1,100 imaging patents, which is why the two sides are joining forces to offer $500 million to buy the patents by Kodak out of bankruptcy. As Bloomberg points out, their partnership in such a field as patent sales will "neutralize potential infringement litigation."

Given Apple's long-standing legal issues with Samsung, among others, this approach is a welcome alternative.
