With the Assassin's Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender being fast-tracked for a possible 2013 release, it seems that Ubisoft has another property it wants to get on the big screen ASAP.

British actor Tom Hardy has reportedly signed on to play Sam Fisher, covert stealth operative du jour. After starring in a run of Christopher Nolan helm-ed mega-hits, Inception and The Dark Knight Rises, Hardy is currently filming the Mad Max reboot, Mad Max: Fury Road.

After reports that Warner Bros. and Paramount were fighting over the rights to Splinter Cell, it seems that the two companies are still haggling over who gets to make the film happen. After Hardy's performance as Bane over the summer, it's no surprise that would take the role. He was pretty awesome as Bane, and have you ever seen Bronson?  He's amazing in that film.
