Assassin's Creed III, Dishonored, Journey, Mass Effect 3 and The Walking Dead are all in the category for games of the year according to Spike.
The 2012 Spike Video Game Awards will be held December 7 and will dole out awards to all of the sparkly AAA, and some not so AAA, games that have made their mark this year. Some even get included even though they've been out less than a week. Black Ops II is barely out of the box and it's being nominated for a best multiplayer award.
We probably know how this is all going to shake out, but it's still fun to have a night like the Oscars. And just like the Oscars, the VGAs will be fueled with catty commentary and political backstabbing. Who's your money on?
