Despite being off the air for over a decade, Boy Meets World still manages to attract fans, both old and new, through re-runs and DVD sets. And that’s why it shouldn’t come as a complete shock that The Hollywood Reporter has broken the news that Disney is currently developing a new series based on the popular sitcom.

This yet-untitled-follow-up show will focus on the daughter of Cory and Topanga, the two leads from the original. It’s not known whether or not Ben Savage or Danielle Fishel will reprise their roles as Cory and Topanga if the show ever gets to a pilot, but we can’t imagine it succeeding without them.

The only person so far confirmed to return for the show from the original is executive producer Michael Jacobs, who is currently casting for the series, which would land on the Disney Channel if it ever materializes. We’ll have more information on the project as it becomes available.
