One of the best things about getting an expensive gaming headset is being able to trick it out with custom speaker tags of your choice (unless you're using the stellar Astro A50, which makes up for the loss in other ways. But that's neither here nor there).

Now Astro and Ubisoft have announced a new set of tags with images pulled directly from Assassin's Creed 3. There are three for the Astro A30 (at $19.99 per pair) and three for the A40 (at $24.99). Astro's also selling bundles that include the custom tags, at $209.99 for the A30 package and $259.99 for the A40 (including the new 2013 edition Astro A40).

“ASTRO Gaming has entirely reinvented what gamers today can expect from a modern gaming headset. Whether it’s our mobile-fluent and street-savvy ASTRO A30 or our professional grade, audiophile quality ASTRO A40, our headsets and speaker tags deliver unsurpassed audio fidelity, vocal clarity and customizable style,” said Astro founder Brett Lovelady in today's announcement, shamelessly tooting his own horn.

“In the same way, Ubisoft has completely redefined action gaming with the Assassin’s Creed franchise. And, we’re thrilled to be able to offer our fans an opportunity to deck out their cans and show their support for one of the most exciting releases of the year—Assassin’s Creed III.”

So will you deck out your cans with AC3? The game drops Oct. 30, and the tags are available now at astrogaming.com.
