While Susan Sarandon has had an accomplished career to say the least, things weren't always so easy for her. In fact, they were more difficult than she's cared to admit up until this point.

In the November issue of Elle, she tells the mag that she the victim of sexual assault at an audition.

"It was not successful -- for either of us," Sarandon says. "I just went into a room, and a guy practically threw me on the desk. It was my early days in New York, and it was really disgusting. It wasn't like I gave it a second thought, it was so badly done."

While she admitted that the incident did occur, she remained tight-lipped about what movie role it was for and who the perpetrator was. Perhaps there are some skeletons that must remain in the closet for good.

Sarandon stars in Cloud Atlas, which hits theaters October 26.
