The NYPD busted a prostitution ring that utilized apartments in the Financial District, Upper East Side, and Midtown to offer prostitutes of Asian descent to white-collar clients. 42-year-old William Thomas (last image) was arrested for bragging about his business to a potential client who just so happened to be an undercover cop. The Fort Greene-native promoted his collection of prostitutes, who posed topless and in lingerie on the websites E4AKorea.com and E4ANY.com.
Ads for the brothel promised "the girlfriend experience," something anyone who frequents brothels or has seen Sasha Grey's big screen debut is familiar with. The site claims that "GFE's do multipop on an hour rate basis," which means that the hookers will have sex multiple times. DNAinfo says that Thomas had about 25 prostitutes working for him, and one detective was able to further crack the code on the website:
“NEW Midtown GFE Kgirls CHANEL, URI AND NIKKI are available T-F, 11-9 p.m.,” blared one caption beneath a half-naked woman. “They $400-hr and $200/hh ($220/hr and $180/hh for FS only) and are located in same building as Sarah and Jane at the new W 36th location."
The undercover cop arranged a meeting, but Thomas told him that the location at 1 Maiden Lane was closed, but the 238 East 50th brothel (second image) was open. The officer met a Korean woman who introduced herself only as 'Olivi' and told him he could kiss her, would have to wear a condom during sex. Two more women were presented when he asked to see the Japanese women, who said they only offered erotic massage.
Thomas was freed on $10,000 cash bond, and two women, 28-year-old Jung Lee and 38-year-old Rei Spain, were arrested for promoting prostitution. Spain was released without bail, while Lee remains in custody due to a possible immigration warrant.
