According to Deadline, Ming-Na has been cast in ABC’s upcoming S.H.I.E.L.D. television pilot, based off of the Marvel comic book. Ming-Na will play Agent Melinda May, an ace pilot and weapons expert who battles the demons of her past combat experiences. She is a completely original character with no comic book counterpart. She will be joining Clark Gregg as the other star of the show.
Ming-Na has appeared in shows like Eureka,ER, and Stargate Universe in the past, but she is perhaps best known for playing Chun-Li in the 1994 adaptation of Street Fighter. We’ll have more casting information from the show as it becomes available.
