After having a recurring role in HBO’s The Newsroom, it looks like Jane Fonda is ready to continue her small screen renaissance. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the venerable actress has signed on to star in a new comedy from ABC, titled Now What? This single-camera comedy will be written by Pushing Daisies’ Abby Gewanter and executive produced by Mike Tollin and Ben Spector.
Now What? will follow a woman who begins a blog to criticize her mother titled "Dear Mom, Here's Why I Hate You." Fonda will play the mother, who moves in with the daughter so they can repair their relationship. There is no word yet on who will play the daughter or when production is set to begin. We'll have more information on the project as it becomes available.
