Michael Ward, a married 43-year-old nuclear submarine commander from Burke, VA was engaged in a torrid affair with a younger woman who he had met online. Eventually, he conscience got to him, so he did the stand up thing and decided to end it—by faking his death. Back in July, Ward sent the woman an email, pretending to be a phony co-worker named "Bob," claiming that Ward has passed away "unexpectedly."

The woman quickly determined this was bullshit when she showed up at his home to offer her condolences. She has a lot of balls for that one. The new owner of the home informed her that he Ward had moved to Connecticut to command a sub. A very creative escape method that, as you can see, clearly didn't work.

We wonder what his wife is saying, if anything.
