Obsidian's "Project Eternity" Reaches Kickstarter Goal of $1.1 Million With a Month Still to Go

This is clearly one to watch.

None

The good people of Obsidian have previously lent their talents to games that include Fallout: New Vegas, Neverwinter Nights 2, Planescape: Torment, Alpha Protocol, the original Fallout, Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic 2, South Park: The Stick of Truth, and more.

So it's no wonder that their new Kickstarter game has generated so much interest—it reached its goal of $1.1 million with 31 days left to go, and with 30 days to go it's already at $1.3 million. It's "an isometric, party-based RPG set in a new fantasy world" that "aims to recapture the magic, imagination, depth, and nostalgia of classic RPGs."

Yeah, it's okay to get excited about this one. Offering $20 gets you a digital download of the game when it's available, and there are plenty of awesome rewards at multiple backing tiers. Check out the Kickstarter to learn more about the game and secure your own copy.
