Final Fantasy VII, as much as we love it, is far from perfect. So it definitely doesn't need any added issues, especially those of the DRM variety.
But the recently re-released PC version of the 15-year-old game has reportedly been plagued by problems ranging from activation codes not working to Square Enix's servers simply not responding (the game has a baffling always-online requirement).
Now Square Enix has, according to Gaming Blend, promised to at least "address" the problems plaguing the game. A Square Enix representative reportedly told the site that the DRM issues have been taken directly to "Square headquarters." We assume that's somewhere in Midgar, probably right next to Shinra HQ.
