The Killing may have gotten the axe from AMC, but according to new reports, there may be hope for the show yet. Vulture is reporting that Netflix and DirecTV - both companies that have a history of reviving shows, namely Arrested Development, Damages, and Friday Night Lights - are in "early talks" to pick up the series for a third season.

Nothing is close to confirmation yet, of course, but a spokesperson for DirecTV did comment to TVLine, "We are constantly having conversations about bringing new shows to Audience Network, and we do take a look at everything that is available, but we haven’t made any decisions this summer in regards to new programming."

Would you like to see The Killing on either of these networks? Sound off in the comments.
