Astro Reports A50 Wireless Headset Glitches Fixed

A new firmware update should fix some issues plaguing the headset.

In our review of Astro's outstanding A50 Wireless headset, we had just one complaint: a slight audio glitch caused the sound to drop off occasionally.

Now Astro is reporting that the issue has been fixed once and for all in the latest firmware update, available on the tech maker's site.

Here's the full list of improvements in firmware v1.1:

A50 Headset

  • Improved pairing reliability
  • Updates for KleerNet compatibility
  • Various audio and volume leveling tweaks
  • Reduced background noise
  • Improved noise-gate for PC and console voice chat
  • Master volume and game/voice balance settings are saved on power down

  • Updates for KleerNet compatibility
  • Fixed occasional optical audio drop
